I'll take a second and admit that, dashing appearances aside, I'm not exactly the most fashion-conscious fellow. Outfits in my wardrobe fall into a few categories:
1) Well-cut dark suit, decent dress shirt, no tie.
2) Black cargo pants, t-shirt (often red, white or black).
While it works for me (KISS is my main rule), I admit it's led to fashion being one of the areas I don't traditionally grapple with when thinking about the future, other than that's just silly or holy shit that's cool! However, I will confess that Coilhouse and Haute Macabre have gotten me much more interested in its possibilities in questions of how we'll look in the future (or how we might look now) and what it implies. The vital role of aesthetics is often underrated by many traditional prognosticators.
In this case I did what I often do -- and a practice I should highlight more on this blog -- put "future fashion" into a basic google search and plucked out the most interesting (to me) images.
Thoughts and additional contributions are welcome. How the fuck will "we" look tomorrow, or the next day? Why?
